12 teams participated. With a 50% chance of showers, it made for an overcast, and early nightfall. Wind was blowing at a steady 15-18mph with gusts as high as 30mph, sending allot of teams to protected shorelines.​

Most teams reported to have caught several large striper up to 30 inches in length, while some mentioned to have caught so many they were a nuisance. All teams reportedly caught some fish, just unable to wade threw the small ones to get some 14"+ fish.
The winners (Harmon and Nichols) reported that they caught most of their keepers before dark, with their biggest fish and the Big Bass of the tourney coming on the 2nd cast of the night.

Several teams stuck around after the tournament to swap tactics, spots, and some fish stories over some ice cold beverages to top off the 1st Canyon Thursday Nighter.
